Instructions | Due to the national shortage of 3.2% sodium citrate blue top tubes, this test is only to be ordered when instructed by Labcorp Oklahoma, Inc. This test is used to print a label for the collect a Sodium Citrate 3.2% (Blue Top) tube. This specimen will help the hematology department get an an accurate estimated platelet count on patients with possible EDTA reaction that is causing platelet clumping. Please order both the HEMO BLUE and the CBC, send specimens as Whole Blood, Do Not Spin. |
