Instructions | Two Specimens are Required for this Analyzer. Specimen 1 - for the Hepatitis C Antibody 4mL(2mL) Serum from Clot Activator SST, Keep Refrigerated or Plasma from Lithium Heparin PST (Light Green) Stability: Ambient 3 days, refrigerated 7 days, Frozen >7 days. Specimen 2 - for possible HCV Quantitative Viral Load by PCR Preferred Specimen is 2.5 mL (1.5 mL) Plasma or Serum from EDTA (Lavender Top) or Clot Activator SST. Centrifuge specimen and separate plasma or serum from cells within 2 hours of collection. Alternately specimens may be held at 15 to 30°C for up to 6 hours prior to separation and centrifugation. After centrifugation, serum or plasma may be held for up to 72 hours at 2-8°C. Serum or plasma specimens may be stored frozen at -20°C or lower for up to 60 days. Avoid multiple freeze/thaws. |
