Instructions | If the patient is not pregnant please use Glucose Tolerance (2 Hour Only) order name GLUC 2 HR. Fasting is not necessary. Preferably performed at 28 weeks gestation. Give 50 grams of glucola. Draw 1 hour after glucola load. Lithium heparin and clot tube must be spun within 2 hours for the integrity of the specimen. Stability: Ambient 8 hours, Refrigerated 7 days, Frozen 1 month Fluoride preserved plasma samples are stable at room temperature for 24 hours. |
