Instructions Specimen Type: Red-top tube or green-top (heparin) tube. Gel-barrier tubes are NOT recommeded.
Specimen Collection: Serum or plasma should be separated from cells within two hours of venipuncture. Send serum or plasma in a plastic transport tube.
Special Instructions: Testing referred to MedTox Laboratories Inc TC 353
Specimen Storage / Stability: SUBMISSION/TRANSPORT (<3 days): Room Temperature. For storage beyond three days, specimen should be refrigerated or frozen. Specimen is stable for three days at room temperature, for seven days refrigerated, and for six months frozen.
