| Testing Schedule | Tuesday, Thursday |
| Expected TAT | 7 Days |
| Clinical Use | Cinicial use: Rearrangements of the ALK (anaplastic large cell lymphoma) gene located at chromosome 2p23 is best detected by FISH analysis. Patients with lung adenocarcinoma carrying the ALK - EML4 gene fusion have been reported to have a good response to certain chemotherapeutic medications. |
| CPT Code(s) | 88377 |
| Internal Comments | original clinical use: The anaplastic large cell lymphoma specific chromosomal rearrangements of 2p23 can be proved by FISH. The patients carrying t (2; 5) or ALK fusion protein have been reported to have a good response to chemotherapy and favorable outcome. 5/11/18 changed from 88368x2 to 88377 - JK 6/19/2020 updated the sched and tat - JK |
