| Clinical Use | With excessive fibrinolysis, fragmentation of clot occurs; this test is useful only in severe hyperfibrinolysis. Variants of this test have been used to monitor thrombolytic therapy. Related tests are the diluted whole blood clot lysis test and the euglobulin lysis test which are both more sensitive and require less time. |
