| Instructions | Patient Preparation: Patient should refrain from ingesting red meat and aspirin-containing products (eg, Excedrin, Aspirin) for 3 days prior to specimen collection. Specimen: Entire collection (48, 72, or 96 hour) (min 10g) Stool in Sterile container Frozen, Note: 24-Hour collection is adequate if the collection volume is approximately 100 g. Length of collection period is required. Specimens smaller than 100 g may not provide interpretable results. Include a list of medications the patient is currently taking. Stability Requirements: Room temperature n/a, Refrigerated 14 days, Frozen 14 days Cause for Rejection: Specimen less than 10 grams.
