Instructions Timing of specimen collection: Pre-dose (trough) draw - At steady state concentration.
Plain Red No-Gel Clot tube. Also acceptable EDTA Lavender, Green Heparin plasma and Gray potassium oxalate or Na Fluoride
Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 2 mL (Min: 1.5 mL) serum or plasma to a Standard Transport Tube.
CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
Unacceptable Conditions: Whole blood. Gel separator tubes, light blue (citrate), or yellow (SPS or ACD solution).
Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: Unacceptable; Frozen: 14 days.
