Instructions Timing of specimen collection: Dependent on time of exposure - test upon presentation to hospital.

CRITICAL FROZEN. Transport 1 mL (Min: 0.4 mL) whole blood in original collection container.
Unacceptable Conditions: Serum or plasma. Clotted or hemolyzed specimens.
Stability: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: 24 hours; Frozen: 3 months

Testing is not performed at ARUP; separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
