Patient Specimen: 10 mL (7mL min) (Infant 3mL) Whole Blood from Sodium Heparin (Green Top) Non-Gel tubes or Yellow ACD (Solution A).

Control Specimen: Please collect a separate 10 mL (7mL) Whole Blood Sodium Heparin or Yellow ACD (Solution A) 
Collect control specimen from a healthy individual unrelated to patient at approximately the same time as and under similar conditions to the patient.

Clinical Use Lymphocyte proliferation in response to the nonspecific mitogens phytohemagglutinin (PHA), concanavalin A (Con A), and pokeweed are determined by 3H-thymidine incorporation.
